A retrieval-augmented assistant that answers motorcycle maintenance questions directly from owner’s manuals and cites the source page. It indexes PDF manuals locally, retrieves the most relevant chunks, and only responds when the answer is grounded in the text.

Match The Cards
A memory-based card matching game in Python using Pygame alongside AWS DynamoDB for storing player information. The game requires players to match pairs of cards by flipping them over. It includes a timer, a leaderboard, which retrieves and stores data through an AWS DynamoDB database, which allows players to track their time and compare it with others.

AI Voice-Controlled Wheelchair
I worked with a team to create a miniature voice-controlled wheelchair. We used the VOSK speech recognition model to receive commands, sending them via Netcat to a Raspberry Pi. For audio and visual data, we utilized OBS Streaming, allowing an iPhone to interact with our programs as well as incorporating emergency LIDAR sensors for braking.

PiPaws: Automatic Pet Feeder
I helped build an automatic pet feeder, which included a physically automated pet food dispenser alongside a web app using React.js and Node.js. We created an automatic pet feeder with secure user functionality. I also aided in integrating PiCamera for computer vision, and the motor control to dispense food.

This is an opinion article I wrote as a Grade 12 student from Orchard Park Secondary School in Stoney Creek, Ontario. It was part of a special project by CBC Hamilton during the municipal election, where they featured voices from the community.

micro:BITE
In a group of 3, our team created a project with Microsoft MakeCode and micro:bit to address food waste, one of the UN’s global goals. I built a countdown system within the microbit’s timer to track the expiration dates of food. This project earned our team a runner-up spot for North America in BBC's micro:bit 2022 do your :bit challenge.
